HOW TO GET HERE
The most common way to reach House Margot in Palekastro with the magnificent surroundings is the following:
Flying directly to Iraklion International Airport "Kazantzakis" from any international airport of Europe.
Arriving to Iraklion there are 3 ways to get to House Margot. The distance is 145 km. Iraklion - Sitia : 127 km. Sitia - Palekastro : 18 km.
1. Rent a car. A car of your choice may wait for you right at the airport. See: Car Rental for the favourable prices for our guests.The drive is magnificent and there are many places to see en route.
2. By taxi. There are always taxis outside the airport. We can arrange a taxi for you in a favourable price. If you prefer to collect your taxi there, you better discuss the price, before you get in.
3. The cheapest way is by bus. From Iraklion to Sitia and then to Palekastro, just outside the entrance of House Margot. There is a regular bus service from Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos.
When you arrive to Sitia, you can take another bus, or a taxi to Palekastro (The cost for a taxi from Sitia to Palekastro is almost € 13 !)
OTHER WAYS
If your flight is scheduled to Athens, there are many other ways to reach us.
1. By air : You can fly directly to Sitia Airport. Flights will increase in frequency after the new runway is completed. Sitia has become even more accessible since the recent extension of the airport, with regular flights from Athens of just 65 minutes' duration. International flights will become a reality, too.

2. By ferry from Pireas (Athens) to Sitia, Agios Nikolaos or to Iraklion. There is also a ferry from Agios Nikolaos, which calls in at Sitia on its way to Rhodes. See Ferry Schedules below.
