Located on the outskirts of Palekastro, the pension enjoys a quiet and private setting, just 2 km from the beautiful beaches of Kouremenos and Hiona, and only 7 km from the world-famous palm forest beach of Vai.
Our accommodation consists of a charming two-storey complex with eight comfortable rooms, thoughtfully designed to provide a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.
Guests can enjoy breakfast in our spacious sun lounge, overlooking the lush garden and the majestic mountains that surround the village. It is the perfect place to start the day while soaking in the peaceful scenery of the Cretan countryside.
The rooms are embraced by a natural garden filled with trees, flowers, and Mediterranean plants, offering a refreshing oasis of calm and shade.
At the heart of the garden stands our traditional wood-fired oven, built from handmade mud bricks. Here we prepare delicious homemade specialties and organize memorable evenings where guests can experience authentic Cretan flavors and warm local hospitality.

The pension was named after our mother, Margot, whose spirit, dedication, and love have inspired everything we do. Together with our father, George, she created this home with passion and transformed it into a welcoming place where visitors quickly become friends.
We, their son Manos and daughter Katherina, grew up in this environment of hospitality and kindness. Today, together with our own families, we proudly continue the tradition established by George and Margot Papadakis, ensuring that every guest feels at home from the moment they arrive.
Many of our visitors return year after year. Over time, they have become cherished friends of the family, sharing their experiences with others and helping to create the warm and welcoming community that makes House Margot so special.
